
Anton Skaugset is a registered patent agent representing clients in a variety of technological areas, with particular experience in the chemical and biotechnological arts. He also serves as U.S. patent counsel for a number of foreign law firms and individual foreign clients, filing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications on behalf of clients worldwide.
Technical Expertise and Professional Background
After completing a post-doctoral position at the University of Oregon in 1993, Anton joined the Legal Department of Molecular Probes, Inc. in Eugene, Oregon, where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications on behalf of Molecular Probes, both in the U.S. and abroad.
After eight years at Molecular Probes, Anton joined Kolisch Hartwell in 2001. At Kolisch, he has had the opportunity to work with both independent inventors and corporate clients, while obtaining patents across a broad spectrum of technological areas, including chemistry, biotechnology, materials science, semiconductor manufacture, mechanical devices, analytical instruments, and water purification methods, as well as design patents protecting ornamental designs.
